Our pool therapy class is an aquatic exercise program designed to decrease pain, and increase strength, endurance, and flexibility. The class is supervised by a licensed physical therapist and is beneficial for patients with fibromyalgia or other myofascial pain disorders. A prescription is required from your doctor to participate in our class.
This is a group class and does not provide one on one direction; therefore, to participate, you should feel safe in the pool without the need for hands on assistance. This will be a decision between you and your referring physical therapist.
Though hours may vary, facilities are open Monday through Friday at our Libertyville location. For further information please contact us at (847) 990-5782.
Our Aqua Arthritis exercise classes are specifically designed for people who suffer from the debilitating affects of arthritis. Taught by certified aerobic instructors, who will guide you through a series of water exercises in our warm-water therapy pool, these exercises help increase your range of motion in your joints and strengthen those muscles weakened by arthritis. Your doctor's permission is required to participate. As in our pool therapy classes, this is a group class and does not provide one on one direction; therefore, to participate, you should feel safe in the pool without the need for hands on assistance.
