Condell's Cancer Exercise program will enhance your ability to tolerate therapy, despite the effects of cancer and its treatment. Our program will help you:
- Increase cardiovascular efficiency
- Enhance self-worth
- Decrease depression
- Decrease stress
- Develop a more positive mental attitude
- Improve strength, flexibility, and endurance
Our cancer exercise program includes closely monitored, one-hour exercise sessions, up to a maximum of five days per week. During the program, you will be taught how to monitor your own pulse and body's response to exercise. Our staff is alert to changes that would suggest the need for modification of your fitness plan if need be.
Physician referral to our cancer exercise program is required. In addition, if you are being treated with chemotherapy, you are required to take a graded exercise test prior to the start of your program. This closely monitored test helps evaluate your functional work capacity so an effective exercise regimen can be prescribed for you.

People with diabetes may face a number of risks during exercise. However, since the benefits of being physically active outweigh these risks, individuals are encouraged to follow an exercise plan that will give special consideration to specific needs.
During the diabetes exercise program, our experts will work closely with you, combining individualized exercise programs with health education to maximize the benefit and enjoyment of regular physical activity.
Our objective is to provide you with an effective fitness-training program, based on a health and dynamic-exercise assessment that will:
- Reduce your risk factors (high blood pressure, high cholesterol, excessive body fat)
- Enhance your heart and lung function
- Improve your overall fitness
- Offer you information on a variety of topics related to diabetes
